Developing a Stochastic Fiber tracking Application for Difusion Weighted Images

This is the final presentation of the internship at German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). The tasks of my internship include implementing an algorithm to track nerve bers in the white matter of the human brain and to visualize them. The result provides additional knowledge about the architecture of the human brain and supports research on neurological diseases. Further, in corporation with radiologists and neuro scientists the quality of ber tracking algorithms can be discussed. The framework for this application is the open-source platform The Medical Imaging Interaction Toolkit (MITK).
