Representing Images by Graphs


In this demonstration we first motivate and explain the use of graphs in image analysis. In order to reduce these graphs, while preserving important structural properties, we then focus on a graph transformation called dual graph contraction. Finally, we illustrate how images are represented by graphs called minimal spanning trees and explain their applications.
