The goal of this work was to implement a image processing library of
common image processing methods with a high performance implementation.
The ZIP-Lib (Zweng Image Processing Library) uses SIMD (Single
Instrucation Multiple Data) registers like MMX, SSE, SSE2, 3DNow etc. to
enhance the computational performance of several image processing tasks
like logical, arithmetical, histogram, filter and other operations. The
second part of this practical was to implement a motion detection
framework which should be easy to use and implement the most important
methods for background modeling, motion estimation and shadow suppression.
The user should be able to choose optimal parameters of the given
algorithms with the help of a GUI within a short time. To convey the
expandability of this framework there are methods to easily convert the
datastructures of the framework to the datastructures of OpenCV and the
ZIP-Lib.
