Guidlines & Information

  • Reviewing will be single-blind.
  • Authors will have the possibility of not including their papers in the printed proceedings.
  • Paper language is English.
  • Paper format is A4, two column. For details, see the sample.pdf file.
  • Page limit is strictly 8 pages (excluding the question page - see below).
  • Electronic submission only.
  • We accept PDF files only. No word (.doc), no LaTeX source (.tex) files.
  • For initial submission use the following option in your main LaTeX file:

    \usepackage[submission]{cmpproc}.

In the layout of the submission version, line numbers will appear along side edges of the columns (as shown in the sample.pdf file). This will help reviewers to accurately pinpoint the relevant portions of the text.
  • For camera ready use the following option in your main LaTeX file:

    \usepackage[final]{cmpproc}.

  • We provide a package with LaTeX style files and corresponding example files for your convenience. You may use any editor you like, but it is your responsibility that the resulting PDF file fully conforms to the above instructions.
In addition to the manuscript, the submission version should include a question page with answers to the following questions (please answer each separately and attach it as the first page of the PDF with paper submission):
  • What is the original contribution of this work?
  • What is the most closely related work by others and how does this work differ?
  • Has this work been presented/submitted elsewhere?
  • In case of acceptance, should the paper be included in the printed proceedings (ISBN)?

Technical notes

  • Maximum file size 3 MB.
  • The main factor in PDF size are usually large images. Setting the resolution to 150 - 300 dpi in your PDF software is usually enough for a decent printout.
  • If the file is still extremely large, you should reduce JPEG compression quality in the program you use to make PDF files.
  • Please report all problems or errors to cvww09@prip.tuwien.ac.at.
