Call for Participation

We invite you to participate to the International Summerschool Computer Vision for Cultural Heritage 2007. This summer school is aimed at PhD students and young academics who wish to get seriously involved in new sensor technologies and methods for Field Recording and Data Capture. Experience in recent years has shown far more people apply than can be accepted. Thus, students and academics will be offered a place based on academic record. It will be held in the beautiful city of Vienna. The venue of the summer school is the Vienna University of Technology.

Course attendees should have a very basic background in physics and mathematics (college level). Some knowledge in optics, electronics and statistics techniques may be of help to understand the concepts and practical aspects presented in this course. The most important requisite is to have a particular interest in the application of technology to cultural heritage.

The registration fees cover the lectures, practical courses; as well as lunch and dinner.
Registration Fee: EUR 250.-

Students and academics should send an email to ConfAdmin with the following information: a short statement describing how you would benefit from the summer school and a CV with grades or publications where applicable. The application deadline is May 31st 2007. Notification of acceptance will be mailed out on June 6th, at which point attendees will be asked to pay the registration fee through this website until the June 15th 2007.
