Univ.Ass. PostDoc, 40 hours/week, substitutes maternity leave during 5/2018-6/2020

The Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Group (PRIP) of the Institute for Computer Graphics and Algorithms at TU Wien invites applications for an assistant position for a doctoral candidate (Univ.Ass. PostDoc). The position is for the duration 5/2018-6/2020 - at the longest till end of maternity leave and is paid (at least) € 50.772,40 per year at 40 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • excellent knowledge in image processing and pattern recognition
  • knowledge about hierarchical and structural methods and representations is of advantage
  • previous publications in high-level workshops, conferences and journals
  • experience in teaching
  • fluent in English
  • German is of advantage

Job:

  • teaching bachelor and master courses (bachelor and master courses in image processing and pattern recognition)
  • mentoring and supervision of students (bachelor thesis and practicum)
  • basic and applied research in pattern recognition and image processing with focus on hierarchical and structural methods and representation
  • publication of results at high-level workshops, conferences and journals

Univ.Ass. PreDoc, 25 hours/week, 4 years

The Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Group (PRIP) of the Institute for Computer Graphics and Algorithms at TU Wien invites applications for an assistant position for a PhD candidate (Univ.Ass. PreDoc). The position is for a duration of four years and is paid according to pay scale B1 at 25 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • excellent knowledge in image processing and pattern recognition
  • experience in teaching (i.e. previous work as tutor) is of advantage
  • fluent in English
  • German is of advantage

Job:

  • assistance in teaching (bachelor courses in image processing and in pattern recognition)
  • basic and applied research in pattern recognition and image processing
  • publication of results at high-level workshops, conferences and journals
